Comic-Con Costume Creation

Making my Comic-Con costume. The costume took about 10 days to make (usually working weekends only), and was made out of foam board, medical tape (to round out the edges), hot glue (and lots of it!), and then cover in metallic fabric with spray adhesive. The head was made of Crayola Model Magic covered in papier mache and then fabric as well. The head weighed about five pounds when I was done. @.@ The face is standard craft foam covered in fabric with mesh for the eyes and mouth. I had limited visibility and hearing, but it was sure a blast! Almost made a kid cry too. :3

10. This is where I used the spray adhesive (lower right) to apply the fabric. It got so sticky there we had to throw out the tarp because it became unusable. All the gold paint is from my sister’s costume.
